Two-time Guillotine Academic All-State Wrestler, and 2001 MWCA Scholarship winner, Adam Fokken set his goal to be a state champ and achieved it, this his senior year, wrestling at 189 pounds. He's a three-time state entrant, going 2-2 as a 171 pound sophomore, then placing fourth as an 189 pound junior. Adam's varsity career record is 147-36 with an undefeated 38-0 season record for 2000-2001. Adam is the son of Mark and Lois Fokken and will be graduating from Eastview High School where Kurt Habeck is his wrestling coach. His cumulative GPA at this time is 3.87. Adam won five individual tournament championships this season and was named Outstanding Wrestler at two of those tournaments. Adam intends to attend a four year college and play football or wrestle.
Mitch was the Class AAA 160-pound runner-up this year. It was his first state tournament appearance. Mitch had a season record of 39-4. He ended his high school career with a record of 158-50. Mitch’s GPA is 3.69. Honors and achievements include two-year captain, 2012 Mental Aerobics Tournament champion, 2012 Bi-State Tournament champion, three-time member of the MWCA Academic State Champion team, and Eastview’s all-time winningest wrestler (158 wins), takedowns leader (499), season wins (39), and season takedowns (221). Future plans are to attend college and continue wrestling. Mitch’s parents are Jon and Carol and his coach is Kurt Habeck.
Mike is a three-time state entrant placing third at 195 pounds this year in Class AAA. He also placed fourth at 195 pounds as a junior. Mike had an impressive season record of 36-1. He ended his high school career with a record of 111-22 including 68 pins. Mike’s GPA is 3.81. Honors and achievements include two-time All-District for football, All-State Academic for football, All-State Academic for track, All-Star Team for football, and St. Paul Lions Athlete of the Year finalist. Future plans are to play football at the University of Minnesota and major in finance at the Carlson School of Management. Mike’s parents are Bob and Nicole, and his coaches are Kurt Habeck and Nick Fornicoia.
